The Patchwork Bear was founded by Jennifer Cura in 2004 after combining her skill as an architect with her love of sewing to produce a product line of handmade products that are as unique and personal as those who own them. Her line has grown fom a simple baby quilt and matching bear to include: tooth fairy pillows, photo memory quilts, wedding dress quilts, custom bears and full nursery design.
The newest "Keepsake Collection" offers one-of-a-kind quilts and patchwork bears made from outgrown baby clothes, wedding dresses or articles of clothing from a beloved person who has passed away. Says Jennifer, " I started with baby quilts and bears when my children were babies. Now that they are getting older, my idea for the the keepsake quilts and bears reflect every parent's nostalgia for those precious days. It's a sentimental way to recycle those favorite outfits into a family heirloom."
Like her children, the company is growing but remains true to the initial concept of offering original, thoughtfully designed products that are handmade with love in the USA.
